Gordon Moore? He is the only 1 I remember from the 8 :P.

The answer is William Shockley who was part of the BJT team at Bell labs and who invented the FET.
1. The seminal FET paper.
2. The traitorous 8 left due to Shockley's abrasive management.
3. Shockley in his later life ventured into the controversial world or eugenics.
4. The original transistor at Bell labs, invented by Shockley, Bardeen and Brattain (for which they got the 1956 Nobel).
