The signage shown in the visual partly inspired X. A key design principle of X is better focus on
the content of applications, relying more on typography and less on graphics. Its
designers say that X is designed to be "sleek, quick, modern" and a
"refresh" from its predecessors.

This one's close to home :). This is the Seattle Metro bus table, which inspired the Windows 8 & Windows phone "Metro UI".
