6-degree connection, something about being connected to the next person in at the most 6 steps?
X = Kevin Bacon, and he's talking about the Kevin Bacon number, i.e. how many hops from any actor to Kevin Bacon.
X - Kevin Bacon
General funda is that of the Bacon number (like the Erdos number). Bacon has done a lot of movies with a lot of people, so it is not that difficult to connect to him in a short number of hops.

X is Kevin Bacon. He is talking about the Bacon number, or the six degrees of Kevin Bacon. Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon is a trivia game based on the concept of the small world phenomenon and rests on the assumption that any actor can be linked through his or her film roles to actor Kevin Bacon within six steps.
It derives from the Six degrees of separation idea. It has a parallel in math in the Erdős number. There is also an Erdős–Bacon number.
And you can find the Bacon number of any actor you want to here.
Congrats to everyone who got it right. Especially Anshul, coz he figured it out without knowing about Kevin Bacon numbers specifically.
