The following list of maps, the green anchor in the maps in particular, is in the descending order of a geographical criterion, X. Identify it! The list, although finite, is not exhaustive.
1. X = 2645.

These are the spots on earth's landmass which are farthest away from the seas. So, X = distance to the nearest sea/ocean.
My guess based on Northwest China/ Mongolia (Gobi Desert) and Northern Territory Australia (mainly a desert) is ..
X = Heights of Sand Dunes?
X seems to be the max distance required to travel to get to a sea or ocean, for each continent. The green arrow indicates the exact point from where you would be required to travel this distance. The red baloon is the closest human settlement to the green arrow.
X is the shortest distance to the sea/ocean from the point in a landmass that is farthest away from the sea/ocean. The list is ordered in the descending value of X around the world.
Congrats to Nikhil for nailing it and Dev for almost getting it right. Note that X is not continent-specific, but valid for any landmass. Thanks to Ankur for playing.
In geo-politics, the point of X is also called pole of inaccessibility of a landmass. I found it interesting to read that this is why most US ICBMs are located in the Dakotas, the farthest point in the USA from the seas...
