A good quiz question is one that gives you clues through which you can figure out the answer, even if you don't know the answer immediately. A trivia question is certainly NOT a good quiz question.

The only thing I actually know is that the first pic is of Nike - Goddess of Victory etc.
The second one shows a dude in a victorious(?) pose..
And 6th march 1942 was some victory for someone :)
The word that connects them all is : Victory
Valkyrie ?
The last picture with dates in jan and march 1942, written in german and mention of "juden" seems to be Nazi literature regarding, perhaps, "the final solution" to the jewish question.
The second picture, I am guessing, is of a crusader king of the middle ages?
The first picture seems to exudes christian symbolism, maybe an illustration of divine sanction for the crusades?
My guess at a connection is- "European designs on the middle-east/lands under Islam" which connects the crusades and Zionism which fed on Nazi oppression...
Interesting question! Looking fwd to the answer..
The dudes in Pic 1 are probably some Greek gods. Pic 2 is Richard the Conqueror?? Pic 3 is some sheet from Nazi Germany during WWII...
My guess is that these are the folks who started their respective civilizations cultures. Greek civilization started when Prometheus brought fire on earth (I think), Richard the Conqueror began the British/English Anglo-Saxon culture, and Hitler wanted to start the Aryan/Nazi dominance which is what the sheet is talking about.
Gotta admit I don't have high hopes of being right :)....
After a bit of googling I think the answer is holocaust. Can't connect the second visual though.
Death?
Victory.
-Nike pouring wine on a victor.
-Julius Caesar (raised sword:Hail Caesar) or Alexander the conqueror?
-Hitler (Heil Hitler)
The word is Holocaust.

This question came to my mind while watching A History of Britain.
It seems that the word Holocaust, in the context of killing of Jews, was first used during the coronation of Richard-the Lionheart. Many Jews had come to watch the coronation and the Christians thought they had an ulterior motive to assassinate Richard. So they were all massacred. A monk who witnessed this scene later wrote in his diary about the "holocaust".
Hence, image 2 is a statue of Richard in front of the Westminster.
im1: A Greek painting depicts
worship of Apollo by sacrificial offerings to the fire. The word holocaust originates from holokauston - "burnt whole" or a sacrificial offering to God.
im3: The phrase - Endlosung der Judenfrage in the German letter translates to - The final Solution to the Jewish question. This is the letter that apparently triggered the Holocaust of the 1940's.
Congrats to Rahul, who got much of it right. Anshul got the word, but some explanation would have helped.
Thanks all for trying!
